Classroom Tour 2012 - 2013

She does exist! I have been totally non-existent lately. I'm actually excited for school to start next week and things to calm down! Is that said I think things will calm down when school starts? It will though ;) Anyway I'm here to share my classroom. It's mostly done... there are of course some things that need to be finished and improved, but for the most part finished! They are totally not in order which makes me sad, but it's a huge pain to move them around, so bear with me! :)

{view from the door}

 {weekly plans organizer}

{miscellaneous decorations}

{recess & word games plus our reading/spelling program}

{bins for groupwork, portfolios, etc. plus my old toolbox}

{back board for charts}

{view from group work corner towards front of room}

{view of cubbies}

{binder/mail storage - plus my library w/the bins that don't match!! ugh!}

{close up of my cubbies}

{view from the hallway towards our classroom}

{another view from the door}

{file cabinet, storage area - jealous of everyone that can paint their cabinets!}

{boggle & add it up/math it up}

{classroom door - not finished yet}

{where are we - ignore the different velcro}

{classroom jobs & economy area}

{behavior chart, attendance check in}

{calendar which probably won't stay up, objectives area}

{my space - not complete!}

{my desk, turn in bins}

{extra supplies storage area}

I so wanted to use black butcher paper on my bulletin boards to go with all my bright decorations, but I let my friend who was helping me put the paper up talk me out of it. She thought it would be too dark. I'm kicking myself right now because it DOES look awesome. I absolutely love your room!

Wow ! That's very inspiring. Your room is so beautiful. I wish I had one like yours !
I'd like to ask you a question : what's the name of the font you use on your banner (the colored one) ? I find it very funny and i'd like to use it because I can't use your docs. I have to translate them in french for my students (otherwise they would'nt understand anything).
Thank you for your great job.

Your room is beautiful, and your comment about painting your cabinets reminded me of something we are going to try in our classroom this year: CONTACT PAPER! We have red, orange, green and yellow cabinets and we are planning to cover them with easy to remove contact paper. Not sure, but it might work for you as well!!

Love the black and bright combo! I had a "jungle" theme for several years and got sick of all those darn monkeys. I havent posted classroom pics yet...but I streamlined my jungle stuff into black and bright as well. :) FUN! Looks awesome...congrats

Howdy!

Loving your very organized, beautiful and yet simplistic room. Kinda a dream come true for me.

I was wondering where you got your extra supplies storage area bins. I am looking for something similar but have not been successful.

I also love your "Where we are" sign. Must make one for myself!

I love this classroom!! I'm wanting to use the neon and black colors this year and I love how you have black paper on the whiteboards. Did you have a problem with the paper falling off or the magnets from the behavior board not staying up? I would love any input or suggestions you may have. Thanks!
