A Bunch of New Stuff :)

So I've been busy meeting my new teammate (umm... beyond words excited!) and living the life of 20 something enjoying some summer time. I haven't forgotten about everyone though, I'm still trying to catch up on stuff from the past few months and create new things. It's hard to do some stuff, because I'm not home often and a good majority of my clip art and things are on my other laptop/network. I'm 99% sure I'm going to keep everything basic and bright this upcoming year, think black backgrounds with super bright colored posters and things. That doesn't mean I've forgotten about all of my polka dot and zebra lovers though! As I make everything, I've been making sets for me, as well as a polka dot and zebra set for EVERYTHING!! :) So here's a whole posting of things that I've been making. I still have millions of more things, plus so many ideas for posts to help give ya'll ideas to organize and do things a different way!

First some recent things I've posted in my Teacher's Notebook Store:

                                      {2012-2013 dot calendar}    {2012-2013 zebra calendar}

                                   {bright cursive letters}                       {zebra cursive letters}

Here's some freebies:

                      {zebra poster}                         {bright poster}                      {polka dot poster}

                                   {zebra supply labels}                             {polka dot labels}

Pretty much anything I post I'll try to post in these styles. I'm trying to go back and add a chevron theme as well but I haven't gotten to it yet. I still am always willing to customize things if I have time, but please send me a message asking first. I hope some of this helps :)

Colorful Classroom, Blank Labels

A few random things for the afternoon...

I've thrown away the black and white collection idea and moved onto other ideas. I'm tossing around between black and bright colors or keeping some of the zebra stuff and doing bright colors. I've been busy making things... mostly things I've already made, but updating them to all have the same font, colors, etc. This is what I've been doing:

I have to say I hadn't even contemplated any zebra stuff, until I was thinking of all my zebra followers :) I happened to change the background on one of these and the zebra background with the colorful letters looked AMAZING :) I just don't think it'll work with what I'm planning on doing!!  We shall seeeeee!!

I posted about how I put some new library labels on TN. I know some people have additional categories so they needed some blank pages for themselves. I don't normally post edit-able things because there are some awful people out there that steal work from people and claim it as their own. I mean I know we're teachers and we all get ideas from each other, but I don't like my exact file being sold as someone else's. So anyway here are the blank editable files for the 3 labels I posted. They will open in powerpoint and you will be able to add text where it says "text here" and add pictures or whatever if you need do. I hope this helps someone.

Please link back to me, don't sell them as your own borders, and please, please, please don't use them for reasons other than library labels

Goodbye for now!! :) Off to watch the Cubbies!!
(yea... don't me started on that...)

So much to do...

I just spent about an hour organizing my e-mail and my Teacher's Notebook Store. If for some reason you've been waiting to hear back from me about something please send me another e-mail. Not having e-mail this weekend totally threw me... so did gaining so many followers so quite. I'm a little overwhelmed by that too! It didn't help that my Comcast went out today {again} for like 4 hours (insert insanely crazed and angry blonde here). Like really, can't you just get it straight? Since when does the heat make my cable go out everyday at 4pm? Ugh! But yet, it stays on while the world's loudest thunder is occurring right now outside the window. Geeze. Gimme a break peeps! Anyway, I'm finishing up 1 bigger project that I spent some time doing today, plus I finished a few other things. I haven't been creating as many new things because I'm working on a few bigger things, plus I've gotten a lot of requests lately, and I'm sure I will after today.

These items will be posted in my store very shortly:

{Punctuation Posters Set}
[available in zebra, but customizable]

{Lesson Plan Book - Seriously HUGE for me!}
[available in zebra, polka dot, chocolate dots, and customizable]

{i PICK poster}
[available in zebra, polka dot, chocolate dots, and customizable]
I got some e-mails today from people who are doing a Dots on Chocolate theme. I'm not going to repost everything I've ever done, but if you want something specific e-mail me. Depending on how long it takes, I may post it in my Teacher's Notebook. Otherwise I'll post it in Google Docs. I did get a message on my last post from Ms. Valerie. She said she is doing this theme, but everyone was sold out of this stuff. If any of you live near Chicago come raid my stuff LOL, I have tons from last year. Anyway, Valerie said she started school tomorrow and had NO name tags! My heart broke :( so I made these... I hope she gets them in time, and I hope they help someone else out there!!
Speaking of Google Docs, before I forget again... I've gotten a few e-mails here and there from people saying, this document or that document looks funny on Google Docs (example a: the "In Our Class" poster has a messed up/scrunched up line). Here's a little secret, if you download them and save them to your computer I promise it won't look like that anymore. I'm not sure why it does that sometimes, but I highly recommend NOT printing straight from Google Docs. Download the document first, open it up, check it, and then print it!! Alright everyone, give me a bit to post everything on Teacher's Notebook, and then you can check them out. In the mean time if you're looking for something e-mail me specifically what you're looking for and I'll do my best to help you out! As for tomorrow... I MUST at least start cutting some of those 200 laminated sheets. Wah. Night everyone!!

A Whole Mess of Stuff While the Sirens Blare Away... Eeekkk!!

Okay, I'm about to pass out, so if there are misspelled words and mistakes all over this post, don't yell at me!! I felt it was my Bloggy duty to post for you though because I've neglected all my Bloggy people, and all of a sudden I'm 1 follower away from 300. I can.not.believe this. Like seriously people, I just play around on my computer and make stuff because I'm sooooo OCD about everything. I heart all of you to the max. I made a lot of stuff, fixed a few things, and posted a few things in my store. Things that took me a while got posted in my store, a few other things are here as freebies. I'm going to the Chalkboard (a teacher's store in Northern Illinois) tomorrow... it could get ugly. We'll just see what kind of haul I come back with. Anyway here are some things that are finished. Other's still need some finishing touches.

If you need something customized, please, please, please e-mail me with specifics. Some things are really quick and easy to customize (many I've already done for others), other things take much more time and I'll set up a special listing on Teacher's Notebook for an extra fee. Especially with all the craziness with school coming soon. On another note, thank you to the suggestions for mosquito bites... I can only imagine the boy's face as I go to bed with tape and unheard of concoctions all over my mosquito bites!! Alrighty my loves, as I go to bed and listen to the storm rolling through, I'll try to think of my 300 followers giveaway!! :)

Side Note: As I was just about to hit send, the TORNADO sirens went off. It's like midnight... I've never heard them go off at night, SCARY!! Matter of fact though I've had the sirens go off more in the past month than probably in my 26 years of life!! Eeek!!

Finished Birthday Buckets and More

So here is my finished birthday bucket with birthday balloons:

{all finished, finally!!}

 {i def. underestimated the size of the pixie sticks}

{the bucket up close - pink, lime green glitter paper, and glitter zebra paper}

{birthday balloon toppers!!}

 {glued to the top of the pixie sticks}

So I originally didn't have fur on the top. So I was telling the BF last night that it needed fur. He was like how exactly do you buy fur? Do you have to go hunt an animal? So funny. I went and did a little retail therapy with my best friend today and I found this:

I may or may not have spent way too much on it, but that's okay. Look at it!! I also found zebra Yahtzee and a little zebra eraser that will find a home somewhere on my desk. I finished my Welcome! sign and my Ms. Hilliard sign. I tried to take a picture, but it wasn't cooperating. I'll try again tomorrow or maybe you'll just have to wait until I have it hung up in my room.

I am about halfway through book bin labels for primary classrooms, so those of you who are looking for more non-chapter themed labels I'll have those coming for you!! I threw together a few other things yesterday and today. I'm going into super panic mode because in a week I can get into my classroom.

make note it looks funny for some reason on google docs,
but it does not print like that

Question for everyone that is 3rd grade or higher... Who uses the Daily 5/CAFE? Coming from 1st it was easy enough to incorporate. Many people have said they don't use CAFE in the higher grades? Daily 5 is easy enough to use in the upper grades, I'm just not really sure what I'm going to do about CAFE. I'm stopping at school tomorrow to (hopefully) pick up my Good Habits, Great Readers manuals so I have some time to look over them. I'm also going to make some math bin labels within the next few days, along with some more games and maybe a few units.

Have a good night ya'll :)
