New Computer Anyone?!

My baby, my darling Inspiron that has gotten me through 2 years of college and now 2 years of teaching is in overload. I think she's ready to die any moment now. Her battery only lasts minutes (okay a bit more than that, but still), her keys occasionally stick weirdly, she slows down sometimes (maybe because I have a gazillion fonts, a gazillion files of clip art and pictures, and usually 432 windows open), and now... the kicker... her mouse keypad button is sticking. All I have to do is graze my finder on it and it clicks whatever the arrow is close to. Needless to say I spent some time perusing Dell today. I'm thinking a purchase in the near, very near, future is in store. Until that happens I may not be posting as much stuff, because well I'm getting frustrated with it. I did make some stuff today, but I'm about 2 seconds from slobbering all over the keyboard so I'll save that for the morning along with the 2 winners of my giveaway!! Woo Hoo!!
Here's a quick peek:

  4. I totally understand how you feel with your computer. It sounds so much like mine was.
I researched about computers and read a Consumer Reports article from last summer. Every type of computer showed Apple in the top 3. So, I bought an Apple in February and love it. I'm still learning how to use it, but it works so well.

I started following your blog this weekend. I love everything you do. I just started a blog with some help, but I don't know what I'm doing yet. Hopefully, I'll get some practice and figure things out before school begins.

Good luck with the computer search!

  5. I highly suggest you look into a MacBook. Yes, they are a little on the expensive side when in comes to computers, but it's totally worth it. No crashes, no viruses. I've had mine for almost 2 years with no problems at all. I only fall in love with it over and over again when I figure out a new trick!

  7. I knew all of you would try to convince me to get a Mac!! I almost put in a disclaimer that I will not buy a Mac. For some reason I've always been anti-apple, and I'll continue to keep my ways LOL :) I get an awesome discount right now at Dell through my school. I still appreciate all of the advice SO MUCH!! :)

  9. Sorry to hear about your laptop, Christie. But at least, you got to spend some good five years with it. I bet, by now, you've already made the purchase. What did you get? There's nothing like that feeling when you're working with your new laptop for the first time! :D
